Sustainable Considered Development

With sustainability principals in mind, the Team at JMT Civil undertook extensive planning in order to ensure the success of the project. Each aspect was carefully considered by our highly skilled team, from the initial clearing and earthworks through to the final landscaping.

  • Earthworks and Remediation: . In such a sensitive coastal area, these works were carefully managed to prevent soil erosion and sediment runoff, which can impact water quality and habitats. Any import or export of soil was carefully considered.

  • Tree Clearing: While clearing vegetation is often needed for new construction, both the client and JMT Civil sought to ensure that native trees are only cleared when absolutely necessary. Mitigation measures, such as the use of buffer zones, were utilised in order reduce the impact on surrounding vegetation and wildlife.

  • Drainage Installation: Through the construction of proper drainage systems, managing stormwater runoff and prevent flooding was on high importance. Through careful planning and consideration JMT provided drainage solutions in respect of local ecosystems, ensuring that runoff is managed without introducing pollutants or disrupting natural water.

Working closely with local stakeholder and suppliers, the subdivsion was deemed a huge success by the client and the local community.

From road construction and drainage systems to site preparation and environmental management, JMT Civil has the technical expertise and local knowledge to handle any civil works challenge.

Their dedication to safety, innovation, and sustainability makes them the partner of choice for both private and public sector developments in environmentally sensitive regions.
